Description

Founded in 1922, the A.A. Bryantsev Youth Theater is one of the oldest theaters in Russia, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2022. The theater offers a diverse repertoire, including over 50 performances for various age groups. The program features both traditional and experimental productions based on classical and contemporary works.

The theater has three performance venues: the Main Stage (opened in 1962), the Small Stage (opened in 1997), and the New Stage (opened in 2017). Under the theater's leadership, renowned directors from Russia and abroad are invited to create new productions, which have repeatedly won prestigious awards.

The theater actively participates in international festivals and tours, including the Avignon and Edinburgh festivals. As the initiator of major international projects, the Youth Theater organizes prestigious festivals such as "Raduga" and the "Bryanstevsky Festival," which have received government awards.

Particular attention is paid to contemporary drama and inclusive projects. Since 2014, the theater has been implementing the "Heroes of Our Time" project in collaboration with the "Saint Petersburg" channel, which was awarded the St. Petersburg Government Prize.

The A.A. Bryantsev Youth Theater strives to create an accessible environment for all audiences, including children with disabilities, ensuring barrier-free access to cultural life. The theater was awarded the title of "Theater of the Year" in 2017.
